Residents’ Rights
Fair Oaks residents are guaranteed certain rights, protections and privileges according to state and federal law.

Each resident has:

  • A right to safety and good care 
  • A right to participate in their care 
  • A right to privacy 
  • Rights regarding their own money 
  • Personal property rights 
  • Rights for paying for care and getting Medicare and Medicaid 
  • Rights to stay in the facility 
  • Rights as a citizen and a facility resident

Greenville Regional Hospital will bill your health insurance provider for any services received. All fees not covered by the health plan are due within or no later than 30 days from receipt of statement.

If you do not have health insurance coverage, or are concerned that you may be under-insured for the services received, we may be able to help. Greenville Regional Hospital’s Health Care Assistance Program is available for patients with accounts totaling $100 or more, if income guidelines are met.
