Pre-Registration

Greenville Regional Hospital pre-registers services that require a scheduled appointment such as Imaging and Surgery Services. During this pre-registration, we verify your eligibility and co-payments/deductibles with your insurance. Then a pre-registration is completed in our system with the basic information. We call the patient, usually the day before the service, and let them know they have been pre-registered. At this time, we verify basic demographic information and let the patient know we have contacted their insurance and what their estimated out-of-pocket expense will be. We ask that they bring that estimated out-of-pocket amount with them to registration or they may make a payment at the time of the call.

Recently, we have added obstetrics to our pre-registration list. We are verifying basic demographic and insurance information. We are then contacting the patient’s with their estimated out-of-pocket expense and setting up payment arrangements so that when delivery time comes they will have their estimated Hospital bill taken care of.
