The Greenville Regional Hospital Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Michael E. Zilm, of Kirkwood, MO, as Interim President & Chief Executive Officer of Greenville Regional Hospital, effective Monday, June 4th.

“Mr. Zilm is a distinguished healthcare professional with extensive hospital operations experience in both large and small institutions,” said Greenville Regional Hospital Board of Directors Chairman Jeff Mollet.  Zilm has served as president of several St. Louis area hospitals including St. Joseph Hospital (Carondelet Health System), SSM St. Mary’s Health Center, and St. John’s Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO.  In recent years, Zilm has provided interim management and consulting services to healthcare organizations.

Michael Zilm earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Illinois State University and his Master’s degree in Hospital and Healthcare Administration from St. Louis University.  Zilm is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Zilm’s wife, Wendy, works as a Registered Nurse in home care in Kirkwood.

Morris L. “Buddy” Bond, who has served as Interim President & CEO at Greenville Regional Hospital since December, will assume the position of Senior Executive Consultant and will work with Michael Zilm over a 30-day period to ensure a smooth transition of CEO leadership.
