Jackson Lee Armbruster was the first baby born in 2012 at the Greenville Regional Hospital Family Birth Center.

Jackson was born at 8:08 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4th.  The infant weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces, and measured 19 inches.

Proud parents are Jimmy and Rachel Armbruster, of Livingston.  Jimmy is employed as the Helpdesk Technician in the Greenville Regional Hospital Information Technology Department.  Rachel is a stay-at-home mom.

Maternal grandparents are Randy Stewart, of Donnellson, and Beth Stewart, of Plymouth, IL.  Paternal grandparents are James Armbruster, of Pawnee, and Vicky Armbruster, of Donnellson.

Jackson joins big sister, Haley, age three.

The baby was delivered by OB-GYN specialist Christina Dothager, M.D., of the Greenville Family Wellness Center.  Family Birth Center Registered Nurses Cami Glisson, Dee Morgan, and Heather Beyers assisted in the delivery.

The infant was delivered by Dr. Dothager via a VBAC procedure.  VBAC, which is an acronym for Vaginal Birth After Cesarean, is a new offering at Greenville Regional Hospital, which allows mothers who have previously had a cesarean delivery to deliver subsequent children naturally.

Jimmy Armbruster complimented the Family Birth Center, saying, “It couldn’t’ have been any better, honestly.  Everything was great.”  Rachel Armbruster added, “We had a wonderful experience at Greenville Regional Hospital.  The OB staff and Dr. Dothager were great.  We are blessed to bring our son into this world with GRH.  Thank you!”
